Each session supports a key phonics aspect and offers large and small group activities, integrating Islamic values (no songs or dance) while maintaining play-based, developmentally appropriate instruction.

Session 1 – Environmental & Object Sound Awareness

• Large Group Activity: Dentist’s Sound Detectives
  Children will explore and distinguish environmental sounds commonly heard in a dental clinic, such as suction tools, rinsing, brushing, and drilling. Using visual cues and recorded sounds, learners play a detective game to match each sound with its source, building careful listening skills.

• Small Group Activity: Mystery Clinic Bag
  Children will guess the object inside a mystery bag based on the sound it makes (e.g., toothbrush bristles, mouth mirror clinking, paper rustling). They will connect real-world objects to subtle sounds, strengthening sound-object association.

Session 2 – Syllable Awareness and Segmentation

• Large Group Activity: Dentist Syllable Stomp
  Using body percussion (claps, stomps), children segment dental-themed words (e.g., den-tist, toot-hbrush, su-ction) into syllables. Movement makes learning active and tactile, reinforcing syllable awareness.

• Small Group Activity: Chop the Syllables
  Children use props like wooden tongue depressors, cotton balls, or popsicle sticks to “chop” clinic-related words into parts. This physical action deepens their understanding of multisyllabic word segmentation.

Session 3 – Rhyme Recognition and Matching

  Learners listen for rhyming word pairs (e.g., brush–hush, drill–fill) connected to dental scenarios. They are encouraged to identify, repeat, and respond to rhyme patterns, strengthening onset-rime awareness.

  Using engaging picture cards, children pair rhyming words with visuals (e.g., tooth–booth, floss–boss). This puzzle-style activity builds rhyme recognition and visual matching skills.

Session 4 – Phoneme Blending & Substitution
